To maintain our leading position and keep up with the influx of projects in the coming years, we are looking for an Offshore Construction Manager Wind (m/f/d) for our Offshore Wind division.
Your tasks
In the role of Offshore Construction Manager Wind, you will have operational co-responsibility for the preparation and execution of the installation of projects. You will work in our offshore wind offices during the preparation phase and on board one of our installation vessels during execution.
- You will be responsible for the safety of offshore installation activities on board the vessel;
- Participate in the improvement of working methods and related project specific equipment;
- Responsibility for the installation team on board the installation vessel;
- You lead the day-to-day communication with the Marine Warranty Surveyor and the customer on board
- You help optimize the installation process;
- Plays a coordinating role during execution, along with the site manager;
- Take over operational management for subcontractors on board;
- Report progress, contractual and other deviations, and lessons learned to the Construction Manager;
- Are jointly responsible for the budget for your area.
Professional requirements
- Higher professional education at an intellectual and professional level;
- Ideally 10 years of operational experience, mainly in complex projects, including several years of installation of offshore wind farms;
- An independent, practical and creative person who can solve problems, has the confidence to make decisions and is able to work well in a team;
- Ability to motivate and lead the cable installation team and play a coordinating role to the ship's crew, project team, subcontractors and other stakeholders aboard the installation vessel;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- An independent, practical, creative and dedicated individual who is able to solve problems, has the confidence to make decisions and enjoys working as part of a team;
- good command of the English language;
- Work in the context of a 24/7 operation.
- Flexibility in terms of alternating work on board, at project sites and in the office under different types of (rotational) schedules;
