To maintain our leading position and to keep up with the influx of projects in the coming years, we are looking for a Superintendent Offshore Wind (m/f/d) for our Offshore Wind business unit in Hamburg (DE).

Your tasks

In the role of Superintendent you are responsible for the preparation, mobilization, execution and demobilization of installation projects, taking care of project specific requirements, safety and your team. You will work alternately on board our Van Oord and chartered vessels, in our office in Gorinchem and/or at the project sites.

  • You will ensure that the project is delivered in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the project plans;Organize and manage less complex project and content related bidding processes;
  • Participate in the preparation of the operational execution of the installation works;
  • Prepare and follow up on documents such as procedures, work practices, and reports;
  • Follow up and discuss work instructions and safety requirements with operations team and/or teams;
  • Collaborate with and lead, coordinate and motivate operational teams;
  • Coordinate and advise on technical issues and challenges;
  • Liaison between all internal and external stakeholders at operational level;
  • Reporting to and liaising with the (offshore) site manager.

Professional requirements

  • Completed technical, mechanical, maritime or civilian degree and/or in-service training;
  • Work and think at a higher vocational, intellectual and professional level;
  • Preferably at least 3 years of professional experience in the industry;
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An independent, practical, creative and dedicated individual who is able to solve problems, has the confidence to make decisions and enjoys working as part of a team;
  • Flexibility in terms of alternating work on board, at project sites and in the office under different types of (rotational) schedules;
